| Doug Horton, President and CEO Doug Horton is the founder of Handshake Software, Inc. Previously he was CEO of MeltingPoint Ltd. U.K. and MeltingPoint Inc., a venture-capital backed company, where he led the expansion of the product line and major sales success to W.H. Smith and others. He was COO/President of CMS/Data, a subsidiary of a publicly traded company. He created a turn-around strategy and, in three years, led the company to an increase in revenues in excess of 500% and record profits through expansion into six new vertical markets and fourteen new countries. He has had prior experience as the Senior VP Product Development & Marketing at another publicly traded software company and has been involved in technology consulting, product development and software start-ups during his twenty-plus year business career. His consulting experience included Altman & Weil and Price Waterhouse where he consulted to over 500 law firms and corporate legal departments on matters including business strategy, marketing and technology. He has spoken at international, national, and regional business and technology conferences in the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia. He is a graduate of Harvard University and played professional ice hockey in Europe prior embarking on a career in technology |
| Don Waldo, Chief Technology OfficerAs CTO, Don leads the company's technology direction. At CMS/Data, Don Waldo led the product development efforts with a focus on the toolkit and end user control for CMS OPEN, a large scale professional services financial management system. He was instrumental in helping land the largest sales in the company's history with Doug. He was instrumental in the sales to Deloitte & Touche Canada and Software Spectrum that helped launch CMS/Data into other vertical markets. Don was the lead of a team of seven developers who created PC DOCS, the product that defined the document management segment in the early 1990s. Don also has experience with two software start-ups and has been immersed in the information technology and computer world since the 1970s. He is a graduate of Princeton University. |
| Sean Stanley, Vice President of DevelopmentSean leads the development efforts for Handshake Software. Sean Stanley led the future development group at CMS/Data that researched and delivered advanced technologies for mainstream development. During his fourteen years at CMS/Data, Sean created many new products, including LAN Time, and was part of the original PC DOCS development team. His expertise in web and browser-based technology adds depth to the technology solutions team. He is a graduate of Florida State University. |
| Tim Kenney Esq., Vice President of Business DevelopmentTim Kenney is responsible for heading Handshake Software business development efforts, including creation and management of partner programs and channels, fostering strategic alliances and coordination of direct sales efforts. Tim has worked for several years as a technology consultant specializing in strategic planning and knowledge management for SRA International and Holland Shipes Vann. He has also held sales and management positions with Advanced Productivity Software and TechLaw. Before entering the technology field, Tim practiced law both in-house and in private practice. He holds a bachelor's degree from St. Lawrence University, a JD from Albany Law School of Union University and he is a member of the New York State Bar. Tim has spoken at technology conferences and has written several articles for legal technology publications. |
| Graham Wright, Vice President of OperationsGraham has a distinguished career in technology and brings a wealth of experience to Handshake Software in the areas of technology, software development, implementation and support. Prior to joining, Handshake he held several management positions with Hummingbird including several years as Senior Director of IT and as Global Head of Technical Support. He spent eight years as Senior Director, R&D of Platform products and oversaw a development group responsible for creating core aspects of the company’s product line. Prior to Hummingbird, Graham was Chief Technology Officer for Beame & Whiteside, before Hummingbird acquired the company. Graham started his career working with mini and mainframe computers, specializing in security, access control and networking technologies. Graham is based in our Tallahassee office. |
